When the first game of the European Football Championship 2008 kicks off on June 7th, Swisscom will also be actively involved, providing a tailor-made telecommunications infrastructure and services to ensure that no-one is left on the sidelines at this major sporting event. Swisscom is a national supporter and the official telecommunications provider of UEFA EURO 2008™ in Switzerland.
Our commitment
Swisscom will supply the four Swiss venues of the European Football Championship - Basle, Berne, Geneva and Zurich - with a state-of-the-art communication infrastructure so that spectators and organisers can communicate both with one another and around the world. The Swisscom media centre will be the workplace for thousands of media representatives and will enable the whole world to participate in UEFA EURO 2008™. As part of its involvement in UEFA EURO 2008™, Swisscom will also be responsible for the transmission network that delivers the television signals.
