Middle school students have already developed a high level of proficiency when it comes to dealing with new media. Some individuals are even Internet experts and could share their knowledge in the classroom. Why not switch roles and let a school group present a lesson about IT? The Chat lesson, for example. The Internet SchoolNetGuide (SNG) can also be used for individual lessons: sections of the SNG "Searching successfully" also lend themselves to research: once you've worked through the section on research, you can divide the class into three groups and let each group perform searches in the library, on the Internet or using swissdox. The results are then presented and compared in front of the class.

However, crime statistics in many cantons show that there are a number of dangers associated with chatting. Our "Chat" dossier makes students aware of the dangers. Young people who are discovering chatting for the first time are the target group. Ideas are provided for how to handle this topic in the classroom.

The "Active Childhood - Healthy Life" campaign shows: fewer and fewer children are able to act out their natural impulses for physical activity. This can lead to obesity, poor posture, weak motor skills and a decrease in performance. The "schule bewegt" inititiative calls on Swiss schools to incorporate 20 minutes of physical activity a day into day-to-day school life, e.g. in the classroom, on the playground, during and after class − schule.bewegt has a lot of creative ideas to offer.
