| SchoolNetGuide (SNG) is the name of Swisscom's useful guide to the Internet. Originally designed for teachers and pupils, this publication explains how to conduct research online, which Internet sites are suitable for classroom use and what is important for e-learning. The "Family and Internet" and "Online with my Child" editions address another target group: parents.
With its valuable tips for classroom and leisure time, helpful lists of links and excellent didactic composition, the SchoolNetGuide has evolved into a popular teaching tool. The guide is not afraid of discussing even the negative aspects of the Internet, e.g. it points out websites that are inappropriate for children and shows how you can protect them from undesirable content. The latest edition, SchoolNetGuide No. 11, shows, how young people meet each others in social networks for work, fun and hobbies.
