Payphones are a real alternative to mobile phones – especially in schools where mobile phones are banned. The comic strip competition “Payphone comic craze” encourages school children to focus on the benefits of payphones and promotes creativity. Take part in the competition with your class – the funniest, most entertaining and most artistic comic strips will win CHF 1,000 for their class.
Here’s what to do
- You and your pupils can choose any topic you like.
The only condition is that a payphone must be part of the story.
- Format: A3 or A4 paper
- Participants: School years 4 to 8
- Closing date: 15 December 2008.

The prizes
The winning comic strip from each school year will be awarded CHF 1,000 for the whole class. We will be giving away a total of CHF 5,000. You can use the prize money for your next class trip, for example.
Conditions of entry
All classes in school years 4 to 8 are eligible to take part.
The winner is the class in each case. By submitting an entry, the sender grants Swisscom full licence as the organiser of the competition. The comic strips remain the property of Swisscom and will not be returned. The winners will be notified in writing. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
