| Mövenpick has concluded a four-year outsourcing agreement with Swisscom IT Services to host its entire IT operations including network connections. Swisscom IT Services has been operating over 600 workstations in the DACH region (i.e. Germany, Austria and Switzerland) for Mövenpick Group, excluding Hotels & Resorts, since June 2009. The 22 core applications and around 170 client applications run on 60 central servers in Swisscom IT Services' data centre in Zollikofen. Swisscom IT Services has also taken over the networks of the multinational corporation. The IT service provider ensures end-to-end availability and bandwidths for WAN in German-speaking countries as well as VPN access for Eastern Europe. Suppliers and third-party companies receive secure access via Secure Remote Console.
Consistently service-oriented
"As a company with Swiss roots, we value the cultural proximity of a service desk at home and a nationwide network of field service hubs," explains Guido Egli, CEO of Mövenpick Group. Swisscom IT Services was awarded the contract based on the fact that its bid focused on customer requirements as well as its proven outsourcing experience in the SAP, Citrix and workplaces environment. "The name Mövenpick represents Swiss quality in the international hospitality industry. We are delighted to have Mövenpick as one of our customers," said Eros Fregonas, CEO of Swisscom IT Services.
