Consistency

The individual companies of the Swisscom Group carry out their procurement projects independently. However, they share a common market approach and pursue a coherent purchasing policy.

The Swisscom Purchasing Board is the highest decision-making body for procurement policy and determines the procurement principles. Although it has not direct purchasing function, it helps to provide uniform supplier management and consistent contract structures to ensure that all suppliers are subject to the same conditions.

To look ahead and evaluate the business in all its facets is a key task of the procurement. Parameters like improvement of transparency, best practice and partner orientation are key factors. Today, a company performances efficiently, quickly and at a high quality level in a sound together of "doing it yourself" and "buying"  To define the right mix of "make or buy", is a central task of the procurement organisation at Swisscom.
