Suppliers who are able to provide evidence of engagement in the following socially-relevant areas will receive preferential treatment:

Regular reviewing of legal compliance in the social field.

Adherence to working conditions as per SA8000 Standard Elements 1-8 (Child Labour, Forced Labour, Health and Safety, Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining, Discrimination, Discipline, Working Hours, and Compensation).

Young people without specific skills are trained and integrated into the working world.

Employees are offered a variety of working time options (e.g. part-time, teleworking).

Employees have a right of co-determination of working conditions.

An industry-standard social plan is in place in the event of redundancies/mass layoffs.

Suppliers are assessed according to their social responsibility.
These points are also used as assessment criteria in Swisscom's supplier assessment system. Compliance is checked as part of "supplier assessment".
