Swisscom Supplier Awards
Suppliers who are able to provide evidence of engagement in the following socially-relevant areas will receive preferential treatment:
  • Regular reviewing of legal compliance in the social field.
  • Adherence to working conditions as per SA8000 Standard Elements 1-8 (Child Labour, Forced Labour, Health and Safety, Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining, Discrimination, Discipline, Working Hours, and Compensation).
  • Young people without specific skills are trained and integrated into the working world.
  • Employees are offered a variety of working time options (e.g. part-time, teleworking).
  • Employees have a right of co-determination of working conditions.
  • An industry-standard social plan is in place in the event of redundancies/mass layoffs.
  • Suppliers are assessed according to their social responsibility.

These points are also used as assessment criteria in Swisscom's supplier assessment system. Compliance is checked as part of "supplier assessment".
