2012

Andreas König is the new CEO of Swisscom IT Services


With the acquisition of SAP specialists, EFP Group und Cirrus Group, as well as their integration into the existing SAP business unit, Swisscom IT Services is intensifying its industry competence in the fields of public administration, industry and trade, transportation and energy supply.


2011

Since June 2011, the subsidiaries (Comit, Resource and Sourcing) have been active in the market under the Swisscom brand.

Panatronic is renamed Swisscom IT Services Workplace Ltd at the beginning of the year and is active in the market as the Workplace Services business unit.


2010

Swisscom IT Services takes over the Panatronic Group and further expands its competence in the service sector. The group, which was extended around the Managed Workplace Services business unit, bundles all competencies related to the IT workplace.


2009

Swisscom IT Services takes over SAP specialist Resource Group Ltd. After the integration of Swisscom’s own SAP competence centre, the leading SAP full-service provider in Switzerland comes into being.

Swisscom IT Services takes a 60% shareholding in Sourcag Ltd. The BPO specialist expands the Group’s service portfolio for the financial sector.

Comit consolidates the European subsidiaries (Germany, Austria and Luxembourg) into the new Comit SE (SocietasEuropaea).


2008

Swisscom IT Services commissions a new data centre in Zollikofen. It meets the highest security requirements and fulfils the highest demands in relation to the environment and energy-efficient operation.

Swisscom IT Services is one of the first Swiss IT companies to be certified for professional IT services management in accordance with ISO 20000.

Swisscom IT Services supports Mobiliar in workplace management.

Comit adjusts its structures due to rapid growth. Marcel Walker becomes the new CEO.

Comit takes over Talkfinance, a long-time operating partner for its own market risk management solution called Quantax.

Comit Luxembourg is founded.


2007

Eros Fregonas is named the new CEO of Swisscom IT Services. The company reorganises as of November of that year. Focus is placed on profitable growth in the market with external customers.

Comit takes over IFBS AG.

Resource takes over the SAP basis specialist East AG and launches its R.A.P. training programme for customers.


2006

Comit starts operating as a 100% subsidiary of Swisscom IT Services with more than 400 employees and an extensive service portfolio for financial services providers.

Ernst AG’s Coutts Bank awards the implementation and operation of its Avaloq platform to Comit.

Founding of Comit Strategic Sourcing and Comit Singapore.

Resource acquires SAP gold partner status and implements the world’s first Duet installation.


2005

Swisscom IT Services takes over Comit Ltd.

Swisscom IT Services acquires Swiss International Air Lines as a customer. Swisscom IT Services tends to their IT infrastructure, including basic SAP operation.

Swisscom IT Services acquires SBB as an outsourcing customer.

Resource integrates Siemens’s SAP Consulting unit.


2004

Swisscom purchases AGI Holding; Swisscom IT Services is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swisscom.

Swisscom IT Services acquires two major customers from outside the usual sectors: Tamedia and Ascom.

Comit takes over Paybill AG and Tangensys AG.
Comit takes a participating share in Systems Integration Partners EDV Beratungsgesellschaft m.b.H. (SIP), Vienna.


2003

Securitas becomes the first major customer in the Workplace Services unit.

Comit takes over Valendi SA, Geneva.

Resource becomes the market leader in Switzerland for NetWeaver.
Resource acquires the first customer for SAP PI (B2B) in Switzerland.


2002

The Swisscom IT Services brand is launched.

Comit supports Finis AG – now Finnova – in the modular commissioning of its new FIS-2000 solution.

Resource becomes an SME partner for SAP (Switzerland) AG.
Resource becomes certified for industry templates for the first time.


2001

Merger of Swisscom IT and AGI IT Services into Swisscom IT Services Ltd.

Management buyout at Comit and the founding of Comit Germany.

Resource becomes a special expertise partner for enterprise portals.


Prior to 2000

Comit is formed from the merger of Mibas Consulting, Basel, and Ebob, Zurich, in 1991. Initially, the company develops client server applications, and generates 12.5 million CHF in sales after a period of just two years it. Starting in 1998, Comit cooperates with BZ Informatik – now Avaloq – as an implementation partner. In 1999, Comit founds its first foreign branch in Austria.

Resource Informatik Ltd is founded in 1997.

Sourcag AG is founded in 1998 by two Basel-based cantonal banks. As a service centre, it assumes responsibility for their back-office functions related to payment transactions and securities settlement. The company takes over additional IT services for the Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank.
