Fixed-network text messaging

Send texts to any mobile or fixed-line number in Switzerland. If the recipient doesn’t have an SMS-compatible phone or has not yet signed up for the service, your text message will be converted to a voice message.

What you get with fixed-network text messaging

• Messages can be up to 612 characters long.
• You enter the text using the phone keys as you do on your mobile. The key functions vary depending on the phone.
• The first time you send a text message, you are automatically registered to receive text messages via the fixed network.
• All Swisscom customers can receive text messages.
• At present, text messages from mobiles can only be received from the Swisscom mobile network.

Requirements

• You need an SMS-compatible phone to send text messages via the fixed network.
